PINOUT DETECTION PROCEDURE


1. Connect PadFinder to PC via USB AB cable

2. Plug DB26 (26 pins) to "SPECIAL" socket.

3. Plug the appropriate phone connector to the phone input.

4. Remove phone battery!

5. Using power wires from DB26 connect them insted of battery
"+" (red) power wire must be connected to phone "+" contact
"-" (black) power wire must be connected to phone "-" contact

IMPORTANT: After you have connected the power wires instead of battery, look attentively to the box LED: if the RED LED is blinking, YOU HAVE CONNECTED THE POWER WIRES INCORRECT! You WILL NOT be able to start the Main Program and find the pinout!

6. You may check the power wires connections. For this you need to:

- Run Main tool
- Press Power (VCC) "ON

- Press and hold "power" button on the telephone

* If the handset Powers ON, than power wires are connected correctly and you can start the pinout detection process.
* If the handset can't Power ON, than the power wires are connected incorrectly and you need to double check power wires.

7. Start the Main service tool.

IMPORTANT: PadFinder has two Modes: Command Mode and Unibox Mode.
"Command Mode" must be chosen for searching for the pinout.
For unlocking/flashing the phone you must switch to "Unibox Mode" and run the necessary service tool.

8. Detect the appropriate "Cable type

9. Select the CPU type. In most cases "Chinese" phone you can use default selected value: "MTK62xx"

10. Press "Search" button. You will see the information message that you need to

PRESS AND HOLD phone "Power" button.

11. Press phone "Power" button and keep it pressed during the whole pinout detection process.

12. You will see the detected Rx and Tx pins

13. You can also save the found pinout and name the model, so the next time you don't need to search it again!

14. Now you can use the found/selected pinouts configuration to work with any
flashing/unlock software ( for instance, "Multi-box Chinese cocktail" )
